Montmartre (aka Café Le Montmartre de Paris) Formerly: Chez Tonie

(11 Ratings)
This is a very popular bar

The most frequented and award-winning of all the Amstel watering holes, Montmartre takes its inspiration from the fabulousness and naughtiness of 1920s Paris (but with a local Dutch feel). Popular with the locals

....if you like music from Abba and Eurovision Song Contest. Very relaxed, friendly and happy atmosphere.

Fun with the locals!

This has always been one of my favorites. It's quite small and the staircase to the restrooms upstairs can be daunting (especially after a few beer) but it has one of the best energies of all the bars in Amsterdam. The locals always seem to be having fun and singing. Great spot to go if you're on your own as you will be made to feel welcome.
